Mr. Abdullahi Isah

Mr. Abdullahi Isah joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in 2017. He has expertise in multilateral diplomacy, political affairs, peace and security, economic diplomacy, and international cooperation.

Since joining the Ministry, he has served in various capacities, including at the ECOWAS National Unit and at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Abuja. During his assignment at ECOWAS, he served as Desk Officer for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, where he covered regional political, peace and security issues across West Africa and the Sahel.

Mr. Abdullahi currently serves as First Secretary and Head of Chancery at the Embassy/Permanent Mission of Nigeria in Vienna. In addition to overseeing the Mission’s administration, he is responsible for economic affairs, promoting trade, investment, and strategic partnerships between Nigeria and Austria. He also supports Nigeria’s engagement with several Vienna-based international organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and other multilateral institutions.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geological Science and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
