Emergency Travel Certificates
Emergency Travel Certificates (ETCs) are issued at the discretion of the Embassy of Nigeria Vienna. They are valid for a one-way journey to Nigeria and for two weeks only from their date of issue.
The following documents are required in order to apply for an Emergency Travel Certificate:
- Duly completed Application form which can be filled and submitted at the bottom of this page or by downloading and filling the Emergency Travel Certificate Form here.
- Photocopy of the Data Page of the Expired Nigerian Passport
- Two Passport Photographs. Applicants are requested to kindly write their name on the back side of their passport picture.
- An Admin fee of €200 is charged and payable at the Embassy. Please note that cash payment is not accepted.
- Copy of the Applicants Flight Ticket to Nigeria. This should contain a copy of the flight itinerary to Nigeria only.
- A Police Report. This should only be included in the application if the Applicant's Nigerian Passport is lost or missing.
- Applicant's Birth Certificate and copies of Nigerian Passport Data Pages of Parent(s). This is needed for Applicants without a Nigerian Passport.
- Consent Letter signed by both Parents. This is required for Minors under the age of 18yrs.
- A self-addressed pre-paid Return Envelope. Kindly note that this should be a Austrian Post Mail Envelope. Applicants are also encouraged to note the post tracking number for use later.
