Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Florence Ajimobi, fspsp, Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary, is a distinguished entrepreneur, accomplished business leader, philanthropist, and public servant with over forty-two (42) years of professional experience in business development, corporate management, strategic planning, and organisational leadership.
Prior to her diplomatic appointment, she was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Grandex Group of Companies, where she successfully established and managed a diversified portfolio of enterprises spanning retail, logistics, manufacturing support services, and corporate services across Nigeria. Throughout her career, she demonstrated exceptional leadership in business growth, market expansion, human capital development, and operational excellence.
Ambassador Ajimobi holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the London School of Business and Finance, United Kingdom, and a Certificate in the Strategic Programme for Negotiation and Leadership from Harvard Business School, United States of America.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to leadership, entrepreneurship, and public service, she was conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Administration by Ajayi Crowther University in 2019.
A passionate advocate for social development and humanitarian service, Ambassador Ajimobi is the Founder of the Access to Basic Medical Care (ABC) Foundation, a non-governmental, non-profit organisation dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services to underserved communities. She is also the Founder of the Educate a Rural Child Initiative, which is committed to expanding access to quality education for disadvantaged children. Through these initiatives, she has championed healthcare delivery, women’s empowerment, youth development, and community advancement, positively impacting the lives of thousands across Nigeria.
Ambassador Ajimobi is also a published author. Her book, My Life Like a Rainbow, chronicles her personal journey of resilience, faith, leadership, and unwavering commitment to public service.
Her Excellency currently serves as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Austria and as Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the International Organisations in Vienna. In this capacity, she represents Nigeria at key multilateral institutions, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Drawing on her extensive experience in leadership, strategic management, entrepreneurship, and public service, Ambassador Ajimobi is committed to strengthening Nigeria’s bilateral relations with Austria, deepening engagement with Slovakia, advancing Nigeria’s interests within the multilateral system, and promoting international cooperation in support of sustainable development, peace, security, and shared prosperity.
